I am so incredibly sorry. He was blessed to have 28 great days at Camp Greyhound and it's clear from the photos and videos that he knew it. I wish he could have stayed longer.

Godspeed Bosco.

Gentle hugs to you in the loss of such a darling boy.

You are right -- time is irrelevant when you are so deeply and truly in love.

What a moving tribute! And still it is obvious it can only hint at what a wonderful fellow Bosco really was. I am continually amazed by how things work out sometimes. Its like he was meant to be a camper and though he just barely had time to squeeze it in before he left-he did it! And clearly he did it because this was where he truly belonged and who he truly was. I too have learned the actual number of "days" we have them for has no bearing on the relationship or love shared. And let me tell you he is an inspiration to many of us. To see how bravely he deported himself.....my heart knows that is what we ourselves should strive for and in the midst of some recent personal tragedy he has been a big help to me as well. Hugs! Bosco will be with you always. I hope when he sends the sign to comfort his buddy that you get to see it too.

I'm so sorry Bosco couldn't stay a bit longer, but clearly he was yours and you were his for long enough for two hearts to bond, and that, of course, lasts forever. :beatheart

I am so very sorry. Your handsome sweetie knew he was home and felt secure enough to know that he could leave.

Hugs to you.

Cindy

You are so right. Bosco and I had had "the talk" and the reassurance that he could leave if it was time seemed a relief to him. My boy. We miss him terribly :weep Bruno is having a tough time with his new normal. He does look forward to walks with Trevor, and Aiden has been such good support for him. He'll get there.

Thank you all so much. :grouphug

What a beautiful memorial. Camp Greyhound can pack a whole lotta love in 28 days.

Sweet Bruno was able to leave this earth in peace, knowing that he had a person who truly loved him that he could watch over & that he

would never, ever, be forgotten.

Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog.

Me too! Reading your heartfelt tribute, and seeing his beautiful pictures made me cry for your loss, and for knowing he didn't have nearly long enough in your wonderful family.

But home and family are words that exist in the heart, as surely as they existed in the real place where Bosco spent his last days. He knew he was home because he was truly a part of Camp Greyhound---safe, so devotedly taken care of and indulged, and very, very loved.

I'm so sorry you lost this precious boy, and sad that you didn't have more time together. But so glad that you found each other.
