macoduck Posted June 5, 2019 Share Posted June 5, 2019 (edited) This is a belated introduction to our newest senior, Georgie Girl (UMR Cordella) who joined us in February. She's a lovely 10.5 year old girl who is a joy to be around. Losing Mazy on New Year's Day was so horrific that I did not want any more greyhounds but Mr Ducky really wanted another. I had asked Kim of Greyhound Crossroads in SC to put me at the bottom of their "who wants a returned senior" list. Not long after that Georgie was surrendered to GC since her original group was defunct. As Kim whittled down the list to us when others on that waiting list couldn't take her for various reasons, there we were at the bottom. I had no idea what she even looked like when I drove to South Carolina to pick her up. Georgie fits right in even if she doesn't fit in the beds. Roaches like crazy too. It's been years since I've had a big greyhound that wanted to cuddle in bed with me. She gets along great with iggy Charlie and podenco Hada too. She's a keeper.
