Neighsayer Posted September 6, 2015 Share Posted September 6, 2015 Mickey died in his sleep this morning. He was my first greyhound, a therapy dog, and the boss of the household! He showed the ropes to eight other greyhounds, four of them left before him, and four are missing him today. He had been slowing down for a few weeks. His SLO kicked in again, he had been eating less, and lost some weight. He went on our Saturday morning ride to Dunkin Donuts yesterday, and our Saturday afternoon walk down the dirt road to get the mail. When he stumbled on the steps, I decided that I would start taking one of the others on those trips. He did jump in the car, but the walk back from the mailbox was v e r y s l o w! I gave up trying to post pictures here, now that I can post them on Facebook. I have some pics of him in my gallery, but couldn't get them here! Hug your hounds! They never stay long enough.
