Guest greybookends Posted March 14, 2015 Share Posted March 14, 2015 I know I have not been on for quite a while but I was on here for so long and my hounds were such a part of this community for many years, I wanted to let you know that I lost The Lovely Miss Sheana tonight. She started going downhill about 3 weeks ago and had deteriorated very quickly over the last couple of days and today in particular. We are not for sure other then being over 13 what exactly what happened but I strongly suspect osteo in her left shoulder. She came to me as an emergency foster. She tested cat safe at the kennel got adopted and instantly went for the cat with not letting up. She lied on her test. We fell in love with her and never let her go. She was the second half of my Bookends and now her and Bill are gone. I laid on the floor with her in the vets and rubbed her belly whispered I love you in her soft ears and cried into her beautiful striped fur. The vet sat with me as I told her all about the wonderful 10 years of memories I have. I had dressed her in her best collar and bling and the vet was commenting on her divaness. I told her that If she were human she would have been all red lace and fishnet stockings. She was my Miss Piggy,my cookie monster, my mighty huntress, my dinner alarm, my electric blanket on a cold night, the kid in the back seat asking "Are we there yet?". I will miss her silky cheeks and ears, even her whiney butt when she couldn't get her way. I could write novels about how much I loved her and will miss her.
