Reba 12/29/2003 - 5/15/2018

Reba raced under the name C Iced Champagne. She came to me at age 12. She was a tripod, but we had no history on her. It took me weeks to figure out she was deaf. I thought she was just ignoring me! She was the happiest dog Ive ever known. Everyone in my group GFNJ asked me for updates, so I started posting on Facebook in her name each morning. Reba here... continued daily for over two years. People and their dogs responded to her adventures and exploits. Her blog had a following of hundreds. After the first few weeks, I made sure there was a photo or video included. Reba digging deep holes and eating chicken feet were favorites. Im Continuing her blog with memories of her.

I lost five dogs within a year, but none reached the age of 14. Reba made it to 14 years, four and a half months. Her fans helped her celebrate monthly birthdays once she reached 13. She was healthy until the end. She had stiff legs, but got around ok until this past weekend. She started falling a lot and appeared to have something neurological going on. She couldnt figure out where her feet were or how to place each foot to take the next step. Her back legs would splay and she had no idea how to move. So hard to watch.

She was loved and will be missed by so many!

Your beautiful girl :heart Thank you for loving her. So many would have walked away from a deaf, tripod senior. You gave Reba her life and she blessed yours in return. To reach 14.4.05 is a remarkable achievement! Still, we wish they could stay forever. :grouphug

Godspeed Reba girl.

Oh no! I am so sorry that Reba had to go. I can't even imagine the love between you two. You opened your heart to a needy and deaf tripod and just look at the love she has returned to you! I am glad you will continue her blog. It should be continued because the beautiful and happy spirit that is her is still with you- only her old body wore out and died. Reba will never be forgotten and is loved always. My deepest sympathy.

I'm sorry I'm just seeing this now. But so glad that Reba was exactly where she was supposed to be in her later years. Together, you touched many lives. I'm so sorry you lost your precious lady.
