It’s Finally Snowing

Recommended Posts

Who does math? :blush If all that flooding rain we got two weeks ago (7+”) had been snow? How many zeros is that around “…illion?” We woke this morning to beautiful heavy yet floofy snow.

This is one of our walking trails. It’s soo pretty.

It’s about 35 deg F without any wind at all and it’s just loverly. The campers were like, we got this, mom!

A winter wonderland indeed. So pretty! Mine are loving the 30s temps this week (far better than summer temps!), but there's not been a bit of snow here yet. :sad1

It's beautiful... especially when it's in somebody else's yard ;)

Rough conversion: 1" of rain equals about 10" of snow, so 7" of rain...  :snowman

Lovely!   Wish we’d get some up here.

We’re still dealing with MUD.  Sloppy, soupy boot-sucking mud.

Temps are going to drop below freezing overnight so it should freeze, but the frozen mud ruts are almost as bad as the mud soup.

Nancy...Mom to Sid (Peteles Tiger), Kibo (112 Carlota Galgos) and Joshi.  Missing Casey, Gomer, Mona, Penelope, BillieJean, Bandit, Nixon (Starz Sammie),  Ruby (Watch Me Dash) Nigel (Nigel), and especially little Mario, waiting at the Bridge.

Beautiful and enjoyable.  Two words that are not always used together to describe snow.  That train really beckons walkers. :heart

We always estimated 1 foot of snow per inch of rain. It will vary based on the dryness/wetness of the actual snow that falls. Either way, when using the metric system that equals a buttload. :lol

Less messy, more dangerous.

I thought for sure the fog/drizzle/rain we had all week would freeze into a skating rink overnight. Fortunately, there was enough residual warmth in the pavement to dry most of it. I hate the dampness and dreariness, but I hate ice even more.
