Diane4114 Posted January 30, 2016 Share Posted January 30, 2016 It was with sadness that I sent Sonny to the rainbow bridge earlier this month. He had his 14th birthday on September. He was my second dog in a row that I inherited from a family that no longer wanted him. He was quiet and unassuming. A great foster dog brother, even with Nitro who he had a scuffle with. He never held a grudge. http:// While he didn't do anything extra special or have any quirky behavior, he used to sleep like this a lot. He would put one leg over his head. http:// He liked to play fetch. He originally would return tennis balls. Once at the dog park someone left a squeaky ball. After that, it was the only thing he would bring back. He would run after anything thrown, but if it was squeaky he walk away. I'm not playing with 'that'. I started buying those balls to keep in the car for him. Sharing a bed with a foster Missy .. not his idea though. http:// Not the best traveler. He liked to go places ... just hated the car ride to get there. Here he is sharing a Dairy Queen with his new brother Hunter in the back of the van. http:// I think Hunter misses him. There were 2 beds in the living room. One was a bolster bed that was supposed to be for Sonny, but Hunter would usually get it first. If Sonny did manage to get it, Hunter would stand there hoping he would get up. Sonny's usual bed was the ortho bed. With Sonny gone, Hunter spends a lot of time on the ortho bed. He has one favorite stuffy that he will leave on that bed from time to time. Until we meet again....
