I have heard enough stories about traumatized dogs running away from their new homes to believe that it really does happen rather often, even with all the proper precautions in place, and hope that she doesn't continue to beat herself up too much about it. My heart is certainly hurting for her, and I wish I could thank her for going to such great lengths to help this little galga and for giving her such a wonderful home, if only for very, very short time. It is heartbreaking, and seems totally unfair for her chance at happiness to be cut short after the trauma and abuse she suffered. My heart goes out to Kim, and I'm sending prayers and white light for strength during this very sad time. I think we all fell in love with her from afar, and are sharing the sadness of her passing.
