  1. I ordered a stainless steel one years ago from Boomerang tags with that inscription. Sherri wore it for over ten years until we lost her in August.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful girl and way too young to leave. Godspeed Mazy. You were well loved.
  3. Would you please add two of my outside cats, brothers Bailey and Mr. Grey, who both passed this year at 15 years of age? Bailey passed in March and Mr. Grey in June. I lost my Sherri in August and they loved her as much as she loved them. Thank you so much.
  4. About 3 months shy of 13 years. Sherri started limping and nine days later she was gone - fractured humerus. I pray that your boy does not get this diagnosis.
  5. Thank you. We're still in shock. The house seems so strange without her and no one is following me around anymore.
  6. Is there anyone here who could update Sherri's greyhound data page with the date of her passing - 8/29/18? I would greatly appreciate it. Her registered name was SO DELICIOUS. Thank you.
  7. Osteosarcoma has taken our Sherri from us. It all happened so fast - a limp, a vet appointment, and an x-ray that brought our time together to an end. Amputation was not an option as her back end had been very unsteady for a year now and her back feet had started knuckling under. We had over ten years with her and for that we are very grateful. She never met a cat she didn't love and adored our four grandsons who will miss her very much. August started out on such a nice note as we welcomed our first granddaughter. I'm sorry she will never get to know Sherri. We will miss her terribly and take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place now where she can run to her heart's content. Love you baby girl. Until we meet again.
  8. How ironic is this? I just posted in this thread on August 2 that Sherri was healthy except for some back leg weakness. The ugly osteo reared its head earlier this week. It started with a limp. I made a vet appointment for her for yesterday afternoon. I got home from work around 1:30 and found her lying on the hardwood floor. She couldn't get up. I put a small area rug under her paws to give her traction and was able to get her to her bed, noticing though that she wouldn't put weight on her front right leg. My heart sank. DH came home and we got her in the car and made our appointment. X-rays showed severe bone loss in her humerus along with a hairline fracture. We made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to let her go. We are devastated. Gable Dodge was her paternal grandfather. HB's Commander was on paternal and maternal side.
  9. My Sherri will be 13 in December and is a Gable Dodge granddaughter. She also has HB's Commander on sire's and dam's sides. Her father was Stan's Boy Flyer who passed at age 7. I don't know the reason for his passing. Sherri is healthy except for some back leg weakness. As in humans, perhaps just luck of the draw?
