greysmom Posted January 16, 2011 Author Share Posted January 16, 2011 Sunday Midday Update: We went and spent some time with Dude this morning. They had to change the hard cast as he had bent the old one. There is some significant bruising around the top of the cast, and he seemed pretty uncomfortable. He did finally lay down just before we left, and hopefully he will sleep most of the afternoon. His doctor also came and talked with us. The oncologist has looked at his file, and believes that amputation is necessary one way or another. She will be in tomorrow and examine Dude, then give us a call. If nothing changes, he could have his amp surgery tomorrow afternoon. We are scared silly about having him go through this major surgery, but know it's what needs to be done. Our house is too quiet and too empty without our Dude here, so we just want it over with so we can bring him home. Please hold him in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow afternoon.
