They got in one quick radiograph before they started his pain meds and the vet said it looked liked classic osteo. They will be doing both leg and chest x-rays to determine the extent this evening. Hopefully they can get them read and call later tonight. Once we know, we can go from there. If it's just the leg, we'll do the amp - he does fine on three legs (it's his back left leg that broke just below the hock) as we found out during his recovery from his broken toe amputation four or five years ago. That's all we're thinking of right now. Surgery would be Saturday or Monday depending on how soon they can schedule it with the surgeons. We're devastated. Just simply dropped. Dude is our boy and we can't even think of losing him. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate all the support.
