Onco just called and is very happy with how she's doing; she's gained 2 lbs since her last visit (a good thing!). He does want to do one more carboplatin treatment after this, so we'll be split 3 and 3 between doxo and carbo. Bummer this won't be her last, but at least the carbo is much much easier on her. She'll get chest rads next time too, but he's not hearing or seeing anything concerning breathing-wise. And really good news: he no longer thinks the lump on her wrist is histiocytic sarcoma because it's not acting aggressively at all. It's probably another type of unrelated (non-metastatic) soft tissue sarcoma. It's not bothering her and is growing so slowly that the osteo will metastasize first and so that's what we're focusing on. Phew. Birthday #12 on October 15. We'll be there with bells on.
