ramonaghan
Two, um, learning opportunities this weekend: Sometimes her back leg falls asleep. That was a stressful situation for both of us. She's flummoxed by her formerly beloved Costco bolster bed. She can't seem to arrange herself properly on it. She's favoring her crate and sometimes her slumberball. A silly thing, but I hope she'll figure out roaching again. I loved that she spent so much time upside down with that goofy grin on her face. ramonaghan
Biopsy confirmed osteo (no lymphatic or blood vessel involvement, thankfully), so we're adding carboplatin for her last two chemo treatments. ShebasMom
21 hours ago, ramonaghan said: It is! It's been wonderful. I got one for Sheba, almost 14 now, whose hips are giving out slowly but surely. She's fine on level ground but now refuses to jump into my Nissan Cube trunk (guess it's too high now; she still jumps onto my bed though, but it's a low platform bed) for monthly trips to the vet. I'm not strong enough to fully lift her but somehow managed to lift her into the car last visit using the harness. The vet tech lifts her back into the car for me for return home. ramonaghan
Stitches out! Chemo #4 done! Cheezeburger plane consumed! Napping commenced! The oncologist was very pleased with her mobility and said her incision looks great. He also thinks she will tolerate the carboplatin much better than the doxorubicin. He presented her case to his colleagues this morning, so I guess she's a bit of a weirdo medical marvel, what with the initial break showing no evidence of cancer or bone deterioration and only now, 6 months and another break later, do we have confirmation of osteo. The lump on her front leg remains unchanged, so he is not recommending surgery for it at this time. Quote Rachel with Doolin Doodle Dooooo, boss cat Tootie, and feline squatters Crumpet and Fezziwig.
