Make sure to watch his remaining eye carefully as unfortunately our angel lost sight in both eyes eventually. I hope Toby does well with the surgery. gracegirl Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) Wishing Toby speedy healing from his surgery. One of the first horses I ever rode as a teenager was Wally. He had only one eye. In his socket there was a pink tumor, looked a bit like chewed bubblegum. Once the tumor starting growing, it was removed and the socket was stitched closed. He was an awesome horse and taught many young riders how to ride....and jump! My Max had a stubborn corneal ulcer that wouldn't heal w/drops, we ended up having a Keratotomy and luckily that healed it.
