Such a difficult and upsetting decision, but it sounds like it is definitely the right thing to do for your sweet boy. Sending lots of good thoughts out to Toby---and you---for a successful operation and uneventful recovery. Please let us know how he's doing.

Oh no! Glaucoma is nasty and we have been down this path as well. Make sure to watch his remaining eye carefully as unfortunately our angel lost sight in both eyes eventually. I hope Toby does well with the surgery.

Wishing Toby speedy healing from his surgery.

One of the first horses I ever rode as a teenager was Wally. He had only one eye. In his socket there was a pink tumor, looked a bit like chewed bubblegum. Once the tumor starting growing, it was removed and the socket was stitched closed. He was an awesome horse and taught many young riders how to ride....and jump!

Sending positive thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery for Toby. My Max had a stubborn corneal ulcer that wouldn't heal w/drops, we ended up having a Keratotomy and luckily that healed it.

Sending good thoughts for the surgery. An old foster of mine had to have one of her eyes removed and she did fine with only one. I'm sure Toby will be the same.

Prayers for an uneventful surgery and a quick recovery. I hope that Toby will be pain free very soon. I'm sure it will be a welcome relief and much easier on him than you, but we all understand.
