yeah Doodles, I am so happy to read the progress.

Peggy - Pete (Wild Pan Thief), Remy (Exotic Ziricote) Buddy the Golden 11-26-04 to 9-18-15, the KATZ - Ozzy, Freckles, Jake and Elwood Hubba, Desert Tortoises Tortilita, and Athena. and when I figure out how to make a PET collage they will all be included in this signature. I included my 2 most recent fosters. Marie a sweet darling of a girl. And Willie, a dog I want to keep. He is a loveable mushy boy.

So happy for all of you. Walmart has washable runner rugs for about $15.00. When Gilby was sick, we got a bunch of them and put them all over. Added such peace of mind that there was little that he could slip on. Our house looks a little weird now, but we have another older Greyhound, and we are just going to leave them. I pray that Doodles makes a grand recovery.

At long last, she's home. I can tell she's happy to be here, very content, no more panting. She's wobbly, but willful. Ate all of her dinner, plus meds. Has gone out to pee twice. First time needed time support, second time just a light holding of the harness to steady her. I spread out some dog beds to make a very long one and put an xpen around it. She's sleeping right now. We are waiting for a big storm to blow in. That should be fun tomorrow, but I'd rather have her here and I get soaking wet than the alternative.

Welcome home Doodles. Everyone is thrilled for you to be in your familiar space.

My experience was my boy got better and more stable as time went on. These dogs make amazing recoveries!

I'm so glad she's home. It sounds like she's well on the way to recovery. :)

She's very happy to be home, Bowie was really happy to see her, too. She's being a good mama to her, alerted me last night when she had an accident in her bed at 5:00am. It was raining so hard last night, that's all I could hear and I was 10 feet away from her. I have to be careful and not baby her too much, and believe me, she would let me. She looks like she's expecting the Princess treatment! I had to call the pet hospital as they didn't give me enough of one medication, talked to one of the neuro techs, she said agreed about not babying her, she said that they had to push her to do things as she was happy to lay back and let everyone do all the work. That's typical of my Sunsands crew!

Today is the last day on antibiotics - yay! She gets her first acupuncture treatment tomorrow morning. Her neurologic team was ok with that.

There's a lot more to this story than I've posted here, I'll fill you in on the details. Involves my mom being rushed to the hospital, an 18 year old dog that had to be let go, a friend on vacation in Hawaii, dog sitting, two professional dog walkers/sitters afraid of greyhounds and a death in the family of someone helping out. Not sure how I've held it together this past week.

Holy moly. But she is home, and it sounds like she's really doing very well. That must feel ... beyond good. Hugs to you and your sweetheart.
