robinw Posted January 26, 2014 Share Posted January 26, 2014 I just saw this photo of Treasure in the gallery. She passed away in May. A week after GIG I took her to the vet. During the visit she was diagnosed with osteo, and went into respiratory failure as she was coming out of anesthesia. I let her go right there and then as it was apparent it had already spread to her lungs. No warning, no time to prepare. I guess I still haven't processed it. I've concluded that there is no good way to lose your best friend. All scenarios completely suck. I do think it's harder when you don't have time to prepare. It adds an extra layer to your grief, and you had so much going on anyway, that you might have just tried to push that pain away.
