Pap pumped it up and its been fine The tires are knot very old so I will it back there next week. I have a Dentist appointment late morning. And will be working an overnight Desk shift tonight. dante2zoe Posted September 12 Share Posted September 12 We are home! The wedding was beautiful. Middle 80s, no humidity, a few scattered clouds. The venue was a Manor in Littleton, up on a hill looking at the Rockies and between two peaks, you could see the skyline of Denver. Over the past several years, both Kevin and Taylor have lost family members and they had an area on top of a grand piano containing photographs. Right when the ceremony was to begin, which was outdoors, a moderate wind blew through, sending silk flower arrangements to the ground. The wind stopped at suddenly as it began and did not return. We decided that my mom and sister, and her grandmother and uncles came by to wish the couple well. The bride looked radiant and my son looked so happy and relaxed. Speaking of make-up, there were make-up artists there for the bridal party and parents. Never, ever, ever again. I looked like death. It was not the fun experience that I hoped it would be and I truly hope the photos look better than the ones I have already seen and refuse to share lol. Seriously, awful. Anyway, my dress looked great! But the important information is that we met up with Nancy and Doug yesterday as they selflessly volunteered to travel through inner city Pittsburgh traffic to save David and I 3 hours of travel to bring our little man home. We got home around 8:30, so it was dark and everyone was tired and hungry. Gabe was quite the trooper yesterday as his ordeal took almost 12 hours. David brought the girls out and Lacy was, well, Lacy. She was so excited to see him. Not sure if it was because it was her brother or just another whippet. Her tail was wagging so fast and hard that I was worried it would come off He was not as enthralled. They got really wound up though and I finally got them settled down around midnight. I ended up sleeping on the couch with Gabe sprawled across my pillow and Lacy sleeping on his hip. Work is all kinds of busy today and I am really wanting a nap! They have been tearing the place up in bursts today - something I hope extinguishes itself somewhat as they are crashing into things. Whippet rough-housing is not for the timid! We are keeping Fizzy away from it as she becomes the fun police. They walked well together this morning, but he confirms that Lacy is truly an ADHD dog in that he is calm and she is lurching along like a drunk kangaroo. Anyway, without further commentary On top of it all, Fizzy has suddenly decided that she simply HAS to sleep in our bed at night, which ain't happening, and is going to take time to extinguish. I got her off of it 8 times last night before I left to deal with the littles and she jumped back up. David didn't do anything about it, so I get to start all over again tonight. The joys of being owned by couch potatoes! Cynthia, I am so sorry for Frankie's family. That is so heartbreaking. Jerilyn, yikes! It is tough to lose friends and family so young. I am glad Carol is improving and thank you for the updated address. Good to hear from you, Lupin! Sorry about the corn - I loathe those things. Jupe, sorry about your slickery floors! Gabe took a corner too fast on our deck and took out our patio sectional - pushed it 3 feet across the deck when he slid into it! I am going for surghurry tomorrow and today I had to get a chest x-ray to see if this sarcoma thingy on my leg habs spread. My lungs are clear! The tortunarian sed that that allows for more aggressib treatment. They will take off the lump tomorrow and anything else that looks skeery, then they will talk to Momma about what the negst steps are. The tortunarian says she thinks it might be chemo, but radiashun is also an opshun. She told Momma that the specialist who is doing the surghurry will habs a better idea after she sees whot we are dealing wif. Momma will keep you updated when she hears from the surgeon after my surghurry. Ivy The vet who looked at her X-rays today was less optimistic about the lump on Ivy’s leg. While our other vet said there was a chance this was benign, today’s more experienced vet felt it is a soft tissue sarcoma. We will find out more tomorrow when the specialist finishes her surgery. They then take it outside and run around doing the same thing until something distracts them and they both stare out the fence at whatever before coming back inside to catch another nap. Fizzy, on the other paw, gets rather distressed by their antics and wants to break it up. We simply hold onto her and tell her that everything is just fine. Any suggestions for other ways to manage this? I do not want her to get hurt or hurt Lacy (her preferred target ) because she does not understand this style of "play." He was quite good about the ‘leave it’ command if he got too close. Probably muzzles is a good idea for a few days. My car is still at the shop. They were pressed for time and I don’t need it until tomorrow. And yes it will be pricey. Front & rear brakes. Oil change. Light bulb replacement. Nail in the tire. Plus also $300 at the Dentist. And I have a broken filling that will get repaired in January. First appointment they had! I have the beeg truck here with me tonight, loaded up with Paps ATV. He’s leaving for his huntin’ camp first thing tomorrow. He took the ‘beater’ Santa Fe to Bretts hockey tryouts. I’ll commence Back’n’Forth first thing tomorrow.
