Yesterday we had torrential rain off and on all day but I managed to ride Patty in between and we only got a little bit wet.  

Sheesh Elizabeth.  Didn’t you just take those panels down ?!?    Isn’t there something that you can leave up all year and just fold/roll up when you don’t need them?  Just hire someone to put them back up.    

We have a disgusting horrid cellar and I doubt I could convince any of the dogs to go down there.  Our barn is a ‘bank’ barn so the bottom level is built into the ground and ‘should’ be very safe.  Guess it would depend if we got the tornado warning in time to get down there.

Hope Cindy is getting some rest and Lacifer is behaving her ownself.

Mornink! It is beayouteafool day in Wiskconsin! One day break from rainy rains. Mistress hasta mower the back yard tonite. She did the front yessirday and I was so sad and lonely in the house all alone, but Al der Gator was there to comfort me. He is aktually Al #2 on account Mistress ruint Al #1 by puttin him in the washer and dryer.  He was the first stuffie I got from my godmother when I came to live here and he’s my favrit so Mistress hadda search to find a noo one.

Miss Lizabeth, them musta bin sum seriss peppers!  My Mistress wears glubs no affer her own bad hexperients wiff a hallypeeno. It didn’t seem that hot and didn’t bother her hands which she washed hundertlebenty times throughout the day. She forgot all aboot that pepper until she went to take the contact lenses offa her eyeball. Oh the pain! 

I’m glad nobuddy got severes lass nite.

Ma and Auntie Ann hab been watching the D-Day remembrances and celebrations.  Their Daddy joined the Army in 1939, so he was trained and ready when we joined the war.  He went in on D-Day + 1, so was knot part ob the first wave butt was still part ob getting the job done.  He was mostly stationed in Europe for WWII.  He stayed in the Army and fought through Korea as well. He did knot particularly like to talk about his war wif his fambily butt the effects were wif him for the rest ob his life.  They were brave men indeed, Miss Caroline.

I got the results of my MRI this morning.  I'm trying not to freak out.  The PA, Beth, who ordered the MRI, messaged me on MyChart.  Here is the message:

Your MRI of the brain showed evidence of a meningioma.  A meningioma is a tumor which develops in the membrane around the brain.  These are most often noncancerous.  These are often asymptomatic, however, should symptoms develop, I would like to make sure you are followed by Neurosurgery.  I will place a referral to Dr Alex Yu at AGH who follows these tumors.

So, I guess there is not an immediate danger from a large tumor, but being monitored to see if it grows, or if I develop symptoms, does make me nervous. These tumors, even if benign, can grow, either quickly or slowly. The treatment would be surgery, possibly followed by radiation. I'll call to make an appointment with Dr. Yu, since it always takes too long to get seen by anyone.  I do have an appointment with my PCP next Friday, which is a general follow-up for my shoulder pain (which is not bad).  She's good about going over everything, and I'm sure she would recommend the same.

There was also reference to "chronic microangiopathic ischemic changes", which I want to talk to someone about as well.  I'm so afraid of a stroke and Alzheimers, which is what my mother had. 

Sorry for all this technical stuff, but I just needed to put it out there.  Of course, Doug says not to get too upset now, which is realistic advice, so I'm trying to follow that.

Anyway.....I forgot to say how beautiful Wiki's picture with her alligator is!

Wiki, you take me back to many years ago.  My East Tennessee-born and raised relatives used to pronounce it 'salit' -- they are the same ones who called me 'Carl'.  I miss those accents!  And I love Al derGator!

It's a sunny, 80 degree day here with storms maybe overnight.  Nothing severe, they say.  Hope everyone else has calmer weather going into the weekend.  

The cable company upgraded their signal a couple of days ago and now the picture is all wonky.  My ancient TV doesn't know what to do with the new programming so I'll have to play with it some.  And, it's almost lunchtime!!

Hawtter today - maybe up to 90lebedee.  Momma waters the frunt yard and the garden this morning.

Oh Miss Nancy!!!!    I would be so scarded iffen somebody tolded me that!!    Plus also, there's not a lot of details or explainings, so make that neuro consult asap!!!  Maybe if that docter can't see you they could recommend somebody who could???  BUT - on the positive side - at leest you know there's something akchooally wrong and it's not just something weerd like a hallucinayshun or something!!!  You mite not be able (or need) to do anything, but it's a concrete thing you're fiting, not a phantom pain!!

We're glad nobody wented to Ozland last nite with a tornaydo!!   

OH yeah, we been watching ceremonies and movies and stuff all week about the DeeDay stuff.  Which made me think!!!    Miss RE Carol!!!  Did you go out and do any poppy selling this year???  I don't reememmer if we hearded anything about it???

Most of Momma's relatives were in Korea or Vietnam (like my Daddy) if they were in the militaries.  All of em on boff sides were kinda in between for WWII.

It's Friedday so Miss Vanessa has to go into the crappy offiss.    Mister Gino, you guys be calm and just take naps whilst she's gone!!

Miss Lizabeth, Momma didn't wanna say anything, but it seemed weerd to her that boff your whole human paws were affected by that hot pepper joose!!    If Momma doesn't wanna put on glubs, like for just one halapeeyenyo, you cut with one hand and hold with one hand, so the not boff hands get the burnings!!  But we're glad you're feeling more betterer today.  Oh yeah.  Isn't there some kinda service or something that will put up those panels for you??  Sounds like a good bizness opportoonity down there to me.  You know, like landscape companies switch over to putting up Chripmix lites in the winter, or like that.

Well, today is Flizzie's Gotcha Day!!  The only reezin Momma rememmers is that it was also my bruther Whiskey's birthday.  I'm hoping we get a Subway sammich sometime this weekend!!

Speeking of this weekend - for those that are still innerested - Momma's horsie Seize the Grey is racing in the Belmont Stakes tamarrow, and she is super duper essited about it cause he has a good chance to win.  It's on your local FOX stayshun at 6:30 pee emm eastern time.

Our groshries are coming today - which is why we won't have sammiches!!    - and it's gonna be a big one!!  I hope one of our favrite delivery doods or doodettes brings em and gives us pets affer!!

As Angus would say, it is FriedYay!  and a nice day, weather-wise.  Took Lacy on her normal walkie after work yesterday and it was knot fun for her.  She would stop every 10 feet and look behind her.  It was obvious that she was waiting for Angus to appear and it broke my heart.  She only walked consistently when we were turned around and heading home.  On a positive note, my arm wasn't yanked out of my socket when we saw squirrels and rabbits!  That, too, was a clear indication of how she is feeling.  She is defining the phrase, dogging your steps.  

This morning, I started off my work day and then lost connection to my office network.  Just great.  Then, I heard a buzzing noise and after some sleuthing as I cannot ignore stuff like that, the septic alarm was going off!  And we are not to use much water until they can get here - either tonight or tomorrow.  I LEAVE tomorrow to go to Colorado for wedding stuff - MOG dress and attendant dresses, stuff like that.  So, I cannot do laundry before I go.  I *hate* that as I like to have everything clean and away before I leave.  Ahh, well.  I emailed my office that since normal fixes were not fixing things and an IT call had to be made, I was taking that as a sign that I am not working this afternoon.  So, I am packing and getting other stuff done in a leisurely manner, which is also interrupted a million times over by Lacy needing reaffirmation that she is valued LOL.  

Nancy, I would be worrying, too.  Anything wonky with the brain is worrisome.  But, since they messaged you through MyChart and did not call or ask you to come in, I would take that as a sign that they are not overly concerned.  Making the appt. ASAP is a good idea - peace of mind is priceless.  

Lacy is scheduled to be spayed Wednesday!  Let the real fun begin trying to keep her contained.  But, if she is still subdued, this may be easier than I had feared.  Not holding my breath though!  We wanted to get it done before Grapehounds, but now that we only have a whippet, David is rethinking the Fingerlakes.    I know he needs time as he hasn't been through this as many times as I have.  But two youngsters back-to-back and both so suddenly and unexpected is rather tough to swallow.  It is just like the new dog mantra, 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months.  

I do feel the love and kindness from everyone and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.  You guys are the best!

     Nancy.  Sure not the news you wanted to hear but the fact that your doctor is not wanting to see you ASAP or rush you off ASAP to the specialist is encouraging.  I’m sure they’ll do the referral for you.   Specialists up here must be referred - they don’t take calls from ordinary people.

Raining again.   We had a massive torrential storm go through a couple of hours ago.   The humidity seems to be less, thank goodness.

I'm sure there are but the most consistent aspect of any service down here is.... Unreliability.  That is, you can't take a chance on them if/when there is a hurricane watch.

This whole thing might end my marriage or his life.   I know it's not good for my criminal defense to say that here but you guys can keep it on the DL, right?

Kerry said she was feeling a bit better but then today, not so much.   Concentrate on, "These are most often noncancerous.  These are often asymptomatic."  Just keep repeating that. 

Nancy, that's worrisome.  Please concentrate on the fact they're usually not malignant and often have no symptoms.

81 degrees a 5:30 this morning.  Our usual 3.5 mile walk today will be 2 miles or less. 

I think I told you, since my nurse's visit on Tuesday, I'm checking my b.p. every morning and, if it stays this low, I can drop one of my blood pressure medicines.  If anyone is contemplating retirement, let me add my own experience.  I didn't realize the level of toxicity in my work environment ad how it was effecting me.
