mimosasmom Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Our beautiful girl is gone. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in her Left femur about a month ago. She was doing so well, on Tramadol and Rimadyl twice a day. She was bearing weight on the leg and acting like her sweet self. Then, early Saturday morning, our other 2 started to play with a toy. Mimosa tried to get involved, and spin in a circle in excitement. We think that might have fractured the leg. It was a rough weekend, and no amount of pain medication gave her much relief. We made the difficult decision today to let her go. She was in pain. It was the best decision for her, and the hardest for us. I miss her like crazy already and can't believe she is really gone. Of my 3, she was definitely Mama's girl, and my favorite. She was our first greyhound, which led to us adopting 2 more. She was well behaved, smart, and loved to give kisses. She had a Mickey Mouse silhouette on her side. We will miss you, Baby Girl. Quote Camille, Mom to Cher and Centeno! You tried so hard to keep your girl comfortable and happy, and you were obviously doing a wonderful job of it since she felt well and confident enough to want to play. I am so very sorry.
