4My2Greys
Lorinda I have been checking this thread several times a day since Nadir learned about Lazer's condition. I can imagine how hard it is to watch him when he's having trouble and then second guessing your decision of action. Did the vets give you some kind of timeline of progress as far as how long till the symptoms lessen and go away? Sometimes it's harder when the hurt is on the inside and we can't see the healing progress outright. Try to imagine him having a wound that required many stitches. You wouldn't expect it to heal in just a matter of days, but you would be encouraged by seeing the healing progress as it did. Try to take every improvement Lazer has as a step to his healing and take comfort in knowing that your actions by doing CPR have given him the chance to heal. Many healing thoughts and white light are going out to Lazer for a quick recovery.

greysmom
Lorinda, I think Judy has some good advice. See what the specialist has to sya, and see how Lazer progresses (or doesn't). It's only been a matter of days and really too soon to tell, I think. If he can be made comfortable, then he still has a chance. We're thinking of you and sending Rainbow Rangers hi beemz! This absolutely helps the mental challenge of watching him minute by minute. Lazer isn't eating on his own. I have to push small amounts of canned food into his mouth. he swallows but really hasn't shown any sign of wanting to eat. he has lost weight,, but if I can keep some food in him, and if he has the will,, we will give him the chance he needs! it's afternoon, and we have had a nice relaxing day. Lazer has been out side a couple time but mostly has slept the day away. thanks again everyone,, Lorinda Quote lorinda, mom to the ever revolving door of Foster greyhounds Always in my heart: Teala (LC Sweet Dream) , Pepton, Darbee-Do (Hey Barb) , Rascal (Abitta Rascal), Power (Beyond the Power), and the miracle boy LAZER (2/21/14), Spirit (Bitter Almonds) 8/

duncan41
Ugh. Fever. Thank goodness for your DVM and antibiotics! Praying that the next 24 will again see small improvements - this is just a holding patters - no backward steps allowed! To Lazer - honey, please eat! You have so many people praying for you. We know you probably feel really, really crumby, but just eat a little at a time. What sounds good? Mickey D's? A Whopper? KFC? Satin Balls? Tuna? PB sandwich? Grilled cheese? Tripe? Stinky fishes? If I were closer, I would volunteer to be your meals-on-wheels. Lorinda, take care of yourself so you can take care of Lazer. Hugs, prayers and healing white light. Baby steps.
