Paul had my father's first name and our son's birthday and he left us on Idol's birthday. I saw his picture on Greytalk and became fascinated with his eyes. They weren't the normal color for grey's eyes. He was being fostered in New Hampshire and eventually, we traveled half way, where we met Diane and took him home. He was the third grey to Brandy and John E and the first to Fuzzy and Idol. He was always very quiet, maybe, even, the aloof greyhound people speak of. He asked for nothing, accepted what he got and loved his stuffies. In his declining years, he became affectionate. At the end he only had two teeth left, but, could eat a cookie with the best of them. I wanted him to live to 12 and when he did, I was looking for 13. He made it 12 and 10 months. He left tonight in a thunderstorm. We had him euthanized at home as he hated riding in the car to the vet, or anywhere. He was a very handsome dog, a proud runner as he retired at 4-1/2, and just a sweet boy. We will miss our Paulie, our M&G boy, our first white dog. No matter how long they stay, they never stay long enough. We hope he has reunited with Brandy, John E and American Idol.
