Mac and I were not, even though we knew this day was nearing. Gracie was a horrible first greyhound, testing our patience, destroying the house. Gracie was the best first greyhound. Once she realized she was safe and loved, she became the reason we adopted many more. Her first day home at age 2, with our original mutt Rosie: Gracie blossomed into a confident girl, a wonderful therapy dog, a meet & greet diva, a TV star, model for the Oravet brochure, flirting with the Marines, the accidental porno star. How I will remember you, Gracie - strong, healthy, happy.............and snuggling with her bestest friend, Pudge. There is so much more I should be able to say after 11 years, but I can find no words other than I Love You.
