AstasMinion Posted May 28, 2014 Share Posted May 28, 2014 It is my pleasure to introduce you to our new sweetheart, Ewan (racing name: Atascocita Ewan)! My husband and I brought him home on Friday, May 16, and he is SUCH a good boy. He's four years old and very curious about every single thing! Ewan is friendly, quiet, fairly confident, and a quick study. During our kennel visit, we met 9 dogs. Ewan was the first, and I don't mind saying that he was my number-one choice all the way through. We loved others, too, and brought 3 back out to seriously consider. Of course, there wasn't a bad one in the whole bunch. But there was something about the way Ewan immediately walked over and stood right on top of me that I could not bear to leave behind. He did the same when my husband took the leash, and during our second visit with him, he also repeatedly led me right to the front lobby door, which — according to the kennel folks — the dogs only use once they've been adopted. What else was there to do, but take him to the car? And here's the part where I post way too many photos. Thanks for indulging me! Here's Ewan's glamour shot for the kennel's website. The ride home! First time on any of his beds! It took several hours for him to choose a bed over the carpeting (and he wasn't into our encouragement), but once he tried it, he never looked back! Two days home, and Ewan was already willing to just wait by the walk door until someone was willing to take him through it. Enjoying his backyard. What I see now whenever I try to move around. His first sustained roach exactly one week after coming home.
