  1. Thank you. He was a very dark brindle in person, and so stripey, like a tiger-zebra! My fave part of his brindle pattern was on the top of his head, which looked like the swirl of a Brach's hard candy.
  2. Thanks. It wasn't enough time with him, but we do know it was his time.
  3. Thank you. It's still sometimes hard to believe even 4 months later.
  4. Thank you. We do, and will. His antics still make us laugh and melt.
  5. It's never enough time, for sure. Glad your gorgeous girl found you. So sorry for your loss.
  6. Meant to add a remembrance note here around the time we lost our sweet Ewan, but you all know how these things can go. Here's what I wrote on my social media post: Run free and rest well, darling boy. May you chase and chatter and chow down forever. We love you so. ~Atascocita Ewan, 3/26/2010–8/23/2020 And here's a Dropbox link to a collage of a few favorite pics out of a gazillion. (Hoping it's viewable.) We still miss him bunches. https://www.dropbox.com/s/a2j87i4tzkp7mbk/Ewan collage.jpg?dl=0
  7. Chiming in with deepest condolences. I'm so sorry for your loss.
  8. Just chiming in to say that we initially worried when Ewan started sometimes skipping the happy greeting (our first grey did so without fail even when older and in ill health). But he took a long time to fully settle in and realize he was definitely home. When he doesn't greet us, it's just because he's super comfy and knows we're going to go to him, at which time he's ready to roach and get a cuddle.
