TheFullHouse Posted March 26, 2013 Share Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) We dropped Do Bee off at the vet's this morning to have him neutered, teeth cleaned, well dog check up and shots. I just got a call from Dr. B and Do Bee developed a bad case of diarrhea since being dropped off and his blood work came back showing he's a little dehydrated. I'm pretty sure the diarrhea is nerves and he hasn't had any liquids since midnight last night that may have something to do with his condition. Since Do Bee is a bilateral cryptorchid, his surgery is going to be a bit more difficult than your normal neuter. Dr. B said his testicles appear to be up in his abdomen and the surgery is going to be difficult on Do Bee and he doesn't feel comfortable putting him under today. They are going to feed him, rehydrate him and if his blood work comes back good tomorrow they will do the surgery then. We won't go and see him tonight because it's going to upset him when he can't come home with us. He's such a sensitive little guy. If you could spare some good thoughts and prayers for our little man. I think we're going to owe him big time for this. Lots of treats and snuggles will be in order I think. Update: Do Bee is fine this morning and will be having surgery this afternoon. I'll update when I know more. Afternoon update: Do Bee did great! He's resting comfortably and can come home tomorrow.
