Rustyroo Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 Marianne, my first official foster, is gone. She was only 10 years old. Her time with us this past May was short, only two weeks before she found her forever home. She was such a sweet girl. She had the energy of a three year old. You would have never guessed that she was a senior lady. I got an email last night from the adoption coordinator from our group letting me know she was gone. She was diagnosed with bladder cancer and was in a great deal of pain. Her new mom did not want her to suffer any longer so she made the painful decision to let her go. Even though we only fostered her for two weeks, I miss her and I'm sad that she is gone. She took a little part of my heart with her when I found this out. Run free Marianne... I was so happy when Marianne got her forever home, she was always one of my favorites. I came really, really close to taking her myself even though I'm at my legal limit. What a sweet girl she was.
