greypuppyluv
I'm sure this has been a lot more trying for you, Jeff, than it has been for us, so I'll just thank you for keeping everything on track. Just a question (and probably adding to your workload ).....when trying to add a link, we used to be able to change the name of the link to whatever we wanted it to say (the standard one that came up said My Link, which could be changed to anything we wanted). Do you know if we'll get that back? I do have to say that if we didn't have this emotie before I'm lovin' it! If you want to change the text of the link there are two ways of doing it... 1. Type the text you want first, then highlight it with your mouse and then click the link button. Type in the URL and click ok, your custom text is now linked. 2. The other way is to turn off the WYSIWYG editor by flipping the "light switch" at the upper left of the editing box. That will show you the raw forum code where you can edit the link text. Wow.....#1 sure is a different way of doing it, but it works....thanks! #2 is just way too much work for me. DesiRayMom
Well, I finallly found the emotis, but they're about 1/2 cut off, & I can't tell what the bottom half of them are doing. Besides which, they are so tiny........ Edited May 16, 2012 by DesiRayMom Quote Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog. greypuppyluv
I can no longer see where to attach a picture to a reply. Help? If you click in the large box at the end of a thread, a header with everything you need should pop up, including the icon to click on for attaching a picture. Well, I finallly found the emotis, but they're about 1/2 cut off, & I can't tell what the bottom half of them are doing. Besides which, they are so tiny........ Does it say "Show All" underneath them? If it does, click on that, and a box will pop up with all of the emotis and they will be full size. However, I did find last night that the "Show All" was not showing up on Chrome on my home computer (it does show up on Chrome on my work computer). It did show up on AOL at home, so I'm not sure what the problem is. seeh2o
I sure like the mobile interface a lot. It is easier on the eyes. The only issue I have is that in some threads the text boxes are too wide to read on the screen and I have to scroll from side to side to read. This seems to happen more often in threads where there are pictures, but not all. Beachbum1
I can type a reply, such as this, but the header does not have "clickable" icons. They're all kind of grey. A couple of hours ago when I tried to do a reply, the icons were available, but I couldn't find the right one to click to add a picture. Which icon is that? When I tried to find and highlight the correct one to add a picture a couple of hours ago, the cursor did not even show what the icon was. Hopefully this problem will be corrected. Jeff
are you using a computer or a tablet. This thread got all jacked up with both. No help from me with a tablet. If you are using a computer, clear your cache as noted above.

Way back when #1 was the only way to do it if you wanted custom text and for some forums I'm on the only way still. And many of those same forums don't have a WYSIWYG editor so once you do #1, you see #2 (did I really just type that? ) and then you can edit away. Of course there is always #3, if you know how the forum code is formatted, you can just type it w/o having to press any buttons. Jeff
Yes, make sure you are using the full editor, if in a quick reply box, click the "More Reply Options" next to the post button. Once in the full editor, you should see this: First choose your file/ next click Attach this file Why it takes 2 clicks I have no idea, obviously if I choose it, I want to attach it, but whatever lol
