Guest PiagetsMom Posted October 1, 2011 Share Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) I'm crying.....I think I'm in shock.......and I know I won't be able to do my sweet girl justice right now, but I feel that she should have a remembrance today. I never thought that I would be doing this today. While the pups were playing this morning, Piaget broke her leg. Thank God it happened when my DH was here to help because I don't know what I would have done by myself. We took her to her vet, who xrayed the leg, and found that the area around the break looked suspicious - it was a bad break in a bad place that would have been very difficult to repair. I made the decision to let her go, and with my arms around her, she went peacefully. She was a great big sister to Mirage. He's never been an only dog, and I hope he'll be okay. I'd like to share some pictures of my sweet girl - I was blessed to have had her these last 5 years, she was a very special girl, and we'll miss her terribly. One of my all time favorites taken not long after she came home. I've posted the words, "I'm so sorry" for so many others, and I often wondered if they could help - believe me, they do. This morning was hard......Piaget was my morning pup, happy to say good morning, happy to play with her toys - happy. There was one star left in the sky when I took Mirage out this morning.....I know it's silly, but I hope it was Piaget letting me know that it's okay.
