I am still gobsmacked.
We were living in Mandeville when our Shar Pei went to the bridge. My son and I started seeing posters around town about GH adoption. Couldn't remember the number, but just for grins I looked up Greyhound adoption in the yellow pages. Lo and behold there was a listing for GPA/LA GH adoption. Judi answered the phone, and within twenty minutes Nay and I were sitting in her house surrounded by nine goofy boys, (Judi love, love loved those goofy boys that for some reason whether from being boy, or being big, or being black were never adopted) and we've never looked back.
Fast forward a few years and we have just recently lost our first GPA/LA grey to osteo. I find a girl on the GPA website I decide upon. She's about 400 miles away-not ideal but certainly doable. But then Judi puts out the word and someone happens to be coming through where Scout was being fostered and brings her right home and into our hearts.
Fast forward a month or so after that, and aliens have kidnapped my DH and substituted someone who said "Let's adopt another greyhound." So before the aliens could return rightful DH, I was on the phone to Judi who said "I just happen to have a blue girlie who has just finished her vetting." So thanks to Judi, on a Saturday no less, we had our Atty home with us in about an hour after Alien DH uttered those lovely, lovely words.
Judi touched our lives, she changed our lives.
