BatterseaBrindl Posted July 2, 2011 Share Posted July 2, 2011 Our 14 /1 2 year old GSDx went to the Bridge this afternoon. Our wonderful vet came here to our house, and Billie went gently and with dignity. Her hips have been failing for a year. My motto has always been "Better a week too early, than a day too late" and we were determined to let her go while she still had a good appetite and before she lost control. She has left a huge hole in our home and hearts. We adopted her on March 15, 1997... She grew... And grew... She was a wonderful Therapy Dog. This is the party the old age home gave her for her 200th visit.... Her portrait is on the wall in the Alzheimer ward... Here is Miss Billie last fall.... And this past Christmas with the grandkids... RIP sweet Billie Jean. We miss you.
