Guest Mom2Shiloh
I just saw this and joining the prayers -- this just grabbed my heart -- the panic of not being able to get someone to help threw me right back into the middle of my Shiloh's suffering at the end of December --- That is the most awful feeling in all the Universe, whatever side of the Atlantic you're on -- when you can't get help.... I have vowed never ever to be without sufficient emergency only help for my dogs as a single, non-too-spry superwoman-wannabe dog mom...... I am sending white light as hard as I can and you and Jack and your husband will be in my prayers non stop. Guest KyGrey
Judy, you are constantly on my mind these days. How is sweet Jack? Were you able to get him the home cooking and frozen dinners? You know, I never liked hospital food. Maybe that's his thinking too. I'm not trying to make light of the situation. You know I'm not and I know it's hard for you right now but I was just trying to get a smile, no matter how small. I will impatiently waiting for an update. I am sending more prayers from across the pond.

silverfish
We just got back from the vet. He is gone. He took a turn for the worse between calling the vet this morning and the vet calling us back to say he was ready to meet us. Vet thinks he had another clot, this time somewhere in his back end. He'd peed in his bed and couldn't get up. When we saw him, he was comfortable, he had his yellow duck, and his head was on Renie's blanket. He saw me and tried to get up, and he got halfway, onto his chest, and then his eyes glazed and he stopped and laid down again. I spend twenty minutes talking to him and telling him what a good boy he was. He knew I was there, but he was just so old and tired. We all agreed that this, as well as the fact that he still wasn't totally comfortable without oxygen, was really too much for the old guy and we let him go. To say my heart is broken is an understatement. I'm in shock and although I've been crying non-stop since he went, I still feel I haven't begun to grieve yet. For the first time in fifteen years we have no dog, and I don't know how to bear it. I'll post in Remembrance when I can see better. He deserves a good memorial post.
