  1. for your sweet old girl! My first greyhound had spinal stenosis, and acupuncture got her from barely being able to stand to about 85-90% of her former mobility. Not all dogs get that much benefit, but it gives some help,to most. I also highly recommend laser treatments, they have helped my current boy with pain relief with his mobility issues.
  2. Molly was a bush pooper, but this being the desert, she would use an agave or aloe vera if she had to. That took some careful maneuvering
  3. Conner has been on gabapentin for a couple of years and has never had a problem with increased peeing.
  4. I would keep the muzzles on when you are gone for a while longer. If it is obvious they are getting along, you can stop, but at first it is just a good idea, as you say, it also keeps her out of things, as well. Sorry to be so vague on the timeline, but it really does vary, each situation is different
  5. Glad you are seeing a different vet, this new one sounds more like he knows what he is talking about. If he is right about possible causes, it makes sense the Gabapentin would help her pain more. I hope you get some answers and it (whatever "it" is) is treatable.
  6. Glad to hear she is keeping water down now, dehydration is a real worry with repeat vomiting. I would definitely get her seen as soon as possible, either at the evet (although I understand why you left) or her regular vet.
  7. What a beautiful place to walk! And I am impressed Andy can do a 2.5 hr walk
  8. That made me tear up, but a very good article. It can be so hard to accurately gauge their true pain level.
  9. I would see if your regular vet can get you in today. There could be any number of things causing the problems, but I think the e-vet hadn't seen greyhounds before! I hope she starts to feel better.
  10. I am so sorry Long time or short, they take a piece of your heart when they go
  11. I gotta say, she doesn't look too thrilled. Are you sure she isn't a Sassenach?
