Oh, ouch! Poor Violet, that does look painful! She is putting a little weight on it, I think that is encouraging. I hope you hear from her ortho soon, and in the mean time she can get some rest. You too!

Poor girl! How is she this morning? It sounds like a vet visit and cold laser would help. Nasty neighbor should pay, for sure!

I would leave them open unless you think she will mess with them, in which case, kid's pants, or cut off sweat pants.

I use the Zoom Groom for regular brushing, and when Val sheds, she has a much thicker coat than Conner, I use a shedding tool I got at PetSmart (I think) It is a metal loop with tiny saw teeth, like a hacksaw blade, that really pulls the dead hair out, but the teeth are small enough not to scratch her skin, although I am very careful going over the bony parts.

She seems back to normal, but I’ll have to keep an eye on her, at her age (11) it may happen again.

Thanks all. The noises stopped last evening, but she passed some WMD gas and this morning I saw she had thrown up a bunch of grass in the bedroom. (I was sleeping on the couch in the living room) That seems to have cleared out whatever was bothering her, she ate breakfast and seems fine today. Probably my fault, I forbade her getting sick while I was dealing with the two old men I used to keep gas-X on hand for Fletcher with his IBS, think I will get some again.

Val didn't eat breakfast this morning, which happens 1-2 a week, so I didn't think anything of it. Late this afternoon her tummy started making squeaky gurgley noises and, not surprisingly, she didn't want her dinner. (Conner made sure nothing went to waste) I gave her a pepcid, but I am not sure what else to do. She hasn't thrown up, no diarrhea, she was fine yesterday, so I don't know what it could be. Any suggestions welcome.

I am a bad mom Val's birthday was Sunday, and I forgot! I have been concentrating on the two old men, and keep thinking of her as "the Baby" or "the young one", but she turned 11 on Sunday. Happy Birthday sweetie
