    Another thing you can try is EMT gel. It forms a flexible barrier that they can't (usually ) lick off. It comes in a spray as well that I haven't found very effective for the non licking part.

    I am not very good at coming up with names, so I usually keep whatever they came with unless I really don't like it. Then I give them a new name that sounds close to the old one (Canner became Conner, Carla became Charley) Some seem to know their name, some don't. All answer to treats

    Mine is 5” from the floor to the bottom of the opening. There was already a dog door when I moved in, but I had to enlarge the hole. All of my greys, fosters and my own dogs, have used it just fine, except one.

    I have a 24"x17" PetSafe brand. That's the flap size, I am pretty sure it is the XL. I needed that size for Fletcher who was 90 lbs and about 30" at the shoulder. I don't know if they make one for sliding doors though.

    We would have plenty of posts for that heading One of my cats used to bring June bugs (aka cicadas) in the house and turn them loose to play with. I kept telling her, leave your friends outside!

    Midwife yeah, no! I have other pillows, apparently they are Not Acceptable all is is right in the world, the pillows are out of the dryer and back on the couch, as is Conner

    The abuse. The trauma (the drama ) Conner has a small pillow at each end of the couch, to lay his noble head on. I usually wash them one at a time, but today I am washing both, they were nasty. So, he is forced to either lay on the couch with no pillow, or on one of the six dog beds in the living room. He is verklempt.
