rebeccamcl Posted October 17, 2023 Share Posted October 17, 2023 Hi Everyone, I'm not on GreyTalk much (yes, on the FB Group but not the forum), except for the card exchange and secret santa. Love both of these events. I am writing to tell you about the roller coaster year Manny has had. In April, he was running (flying) through a field, hit a hole and broke his right front leg and shattered his ankle. It was a freak accident - no cancer, thankfully. I opted for amputation due to the long recovery period for the pins and plate procedure; at his age (11), it allowed him to recover and enjoy life much more quickly. And enjoy life he does. We went to Yellowstone National Park for a week and to the beach at Long Beach, Washington for a few days. He loves to hang out with other dogs, runs short spurts, digs holes with one paw, plays with toys and spins in circles. He doesn't have as much endurance so we don't walk for miles....but we get out and enjoy life every day. He is amazing. We get to celebrate seven (7!) years together on Boxing Day!
