Guest Adrianne
Thank you, everyone. He had another restful tonight, and today it will be the guy folks + Ollie hanging out since I have to travel to Zebulon, GA for an all-day photo session. I'm not used to not being the caretaker for the four-legged babies, but I'm sure everything will go fine. Chevy is still mostly resting. silverfish
What a very sweet face he has! And I'm glad to see there's not too much trauma in his eyes; he still has a look of trust and love, bless him. Good to hear he's doing so well. TINMANPDX
OMG! I did not see the pictures until now. I am so glad he is doing well because those are some serious wounds. It looks like your vet closed everything up nicely - I am just shocked at how extensive the damage is. More healing thoughts going out. seeh2o
Adrianne, I just saw this and read through the updates. I'm so sorry Chevy, and you, went through this. How terribly frightening. I'm so glad to read that he is on the road to recovery - and that the people are taking responsibility for what the attacking dogs did. That in itself allows you to focus all your energy on where it needs to be, helping your boy recover. Sending good thoughts for a quick recovery...both physical and mental/emotional. Guest Adrianne
How is he doing today? Did he do okay with just the guys yesterday? Patty (and everybody) he's doing well today. We went to the vet this morning for a follow-up and to get the drain removed, and everything looks good. Chevy did freak out when a lady brought in two rambunctious mostly grown hound dogs. He started shaking uncontrollably and crying, but they took us back to a room pretty quickly, and he was fine once the door was shut. He's resting this afternoon, and we'll probably do another short walk this evening.

Guest Adrianne
Chevy is healing beautifully, and I know it's all the love and good thoughts coming to him. Things are getting back to normal. I know this because I walked into the kitchen just as Chevy was walking out of the kitchen with a waffle in his mouth that he had stolen off the counter. The look on his face was one of surprise and shame, and we kinda eyeballed each other for a couple of seconds, both of us trying to figure out what to do. Then he hugged the wall and slowly eased out before his prize got taken away. And I let him go. Edited March 19, 2013 by Adrianne
