Guest SoulsMom Posted June 21, 2012 Share Posted June 21, 2012 Adam Sunshine, who will be turning 12 in a few weeks, has been slightly 'off' for the past few days Moving differently if you know what I mean. . . yesterday his limp got more pronounced and progressively worse. He began slipping and having trouble doing the stairs, despite being on pain medication. His appointment is at 12:30, so if you could please spare a few good thought for this goofy boy And for Deb and Ed as well, they just lost Eric two weeks ago . . . . . . Here is full vet story... Our Vet poked and prodded the effected leg including paw pads and toes (he does have corns but he's never limped) and didn't come up with an exact spot of pain, of course and pretty common with greyhounds. However, there is some slight muscle wasting on the right side, the side he is limping on. There is also an area that is tender but he didn't exhibit extreme pain up in the hip area. So we were given the option of pain meds for a week and then wait and see, if no improvement, then X-rays or X-rays right away. With Adam approaching 12, we thought best to go X-rays sooner than later. He'll go in first thing in the morning for X-rays, as he has to be sedated. Adam does not lay down unless HE WANTS to, we've learned that oh and it is right hind that he noticibly limping on... He is resting comfortably on his sofa right now.
