Guest IrskasMom Posted March 23, 2012 Share Posted March 23, 2012 (edited) My Friend Brandi , who moved just a while ago from Fairbanks Alaska to Maryland with ( of Course her Husband , Daughter ) three Dogs. Her Greyhound Edward had to have emergency Surgery last Night at the E-Vet in Annapolis for a Hematoma (Tracheostomy) in his Throat.She got him from a Lady in Fairbanks in bad shape about a Year ago and now this. Please pray for him. Update on Edward 3/24 : Things are becoming more clearly. Edward lives with his Brother (Staghound ) Roofus and his Sister Genie( Minpin ) Edward and Roofus had once before an Alpha Scuffle and it was another Scuffel this past Thursday. Edward is very passive and Roofus is deffinitly the Dominant one. My guess it was over Food and Roofus attacked Edward. There was no Blood or Puncture Wound that was vissable that Evening that could have caused the Hematoma. But it is very clear now. Edward is still at the Vet and they are weaning him of Propofol. Does anybody here knows , how a Hematoma resolves or does it have to be surgicly removed.At the Moment he still has a Trichiatub down his Throat. Continous Prayers Please, Please Update on Edward 3/25 : Edward seems to do better. He ate some Babyfood and walked a little outside. He is still at E Vet and we will visit with him later.
