Good Thoughts For Pinky Will Be Much Appreciated

Recommended Posts

With Pinky being so energetic, I have a feeling this is the problem we will have. It is an adjustment to use one leg instead of two and that leg is going to get tired!

Sounds like she's doing really well. Hope she's much happier once she's home. Heal quickly sweetie!

She's home :yay She is sleeping for probably the first time in days. We are in the living room on the air mattress. The big kids came and sniffed her and were over it, the little ones are a bit too rambunctious yet, so, THEY'RE in the ex-pen :lol

She has quite a bit of bruising and swelling on her chest and the good leg. I've massaged it and we're alternating heat and cold packs on it.

She has had some food and we've been out to potty twice. She is good with forward motion, but standing still is a challenge for her yet. We've got a tshirt on her and her harness...so I can help keep her up. She is wrapped, so the base of her tail is a little covered and I have to hold her tail up for her to pee-she just tucks it under her otherwise.

Since she is resting, I am resting :nod

Yay, Pinky! Sounds like she was home less than 24 hours from coming out of anesthesia - that's gotta be some kind of record!

Best wishes for a very restful night for you both!

Pinky, you are amazing! It's great to hear such positive updates. You've both been in my prayers---and will continue to be.

Well, we had a successful potty time, in the rain <_< Miss Sassypants decided she was not in need of the nice little yard with grass-she wanted to go in the big yard and dragged me with her!

Then we get inside and I get her settled back on her bed. I go to the kitchen to get her heat pack and she GETS UP, walks ACROSS the air bed, and flies onto the loves eat

My heart rate has returned to normal and I think she has decided that maybe she wants to go back to her bed now, so we're going to try and get some sleep.

That sounds like a clear message--I'm good mama, but I want a cushy place to sleep.

ETA just want to say she's looking good.

We're up this morning, she's been out again. Once again we had to use the big yard. When she is moving, she does great. Standing still is more difficult for her and that's when we need our towel to support her. So I have been literally running through the mud in my slippers while wearing my PJ pants

The things we do for our kids, right?

Sounds like she is doing wonderful! So glad to hear this. You are right about the things we do for our fur kids, but they are so worth it! She looks so sweet on her love seat!
