  1. My vet has the bed, she figured she would use it enough to make it worth the money, plus the batteries on that are either changeable or rechargeable, I forget which. The tech also works for a guy who she says is “handy”, so she was going to give him one of her dead loops to play with and see if he could get the batteries changed. Have not yet heard back to see if he was successful, but Val has an appointment next week, I will ask then.
  2. A mystery for sure! My guess (not a vet or any other health professional!) would be a blocked/infected salivary gland (very painful) 'that started to resolve on its own and cleared up with the Clavimox. Whatever, glad it has resolved and hope it doesn't come back
  3. you have done everything you possibly could for her. I am so sorry that this was just her time
  4. I remember seeing one that was adopted from a California group about 10 years ago, he was all white with blue eyes. Stunning.
  5. Yeah, I just squirt the Meloxicam onto the food, and all my dogs have eaten it right up.
  6. Be careful with the Tramadol. I have had several greys take it with no problem, but have had a couple who reacted very badly.
  7. I have always had good luck with the liquid Meloxicam as well, but as Rachel said, some dogs can’t tolerate it, but that is true of any medication, you just have to try. Conner was on Galliprant for a few months, I didn’t notice any side effects. He did fine on that and Meloxicam (and gabapentin, but that isn’t an anti inflammatory) but couldn’t take Previcox. So, you just need to try him and see.
  8. Oh that face! Enjoy your Easter chikkins Cletus, and share with your friends!
  9. If her blood work is good and you decide to go ahead, I would definitely go to a specialty dentist. When Conner had his dental at 12.5, he had a team, including an anesthesiologist who monitored his vitals in addition to the vet and tech who did the actual cleaning and extractions. More expensive than having his regular vet do it, but worth every penny. I would try the antibiotics first, though.
  10. I have only had two boys of my own, but have also had a couple of boy fosters and none of them marked in the house. Some do, of course, but don’t assume that they will. Putting a belly band on them for the first day or two should keep your house safe and let you know if they have a tendency to mark. I am sure some people with some first hand experience will have some good tips for you.
  11. I am so sorry for your loss, she was a part of you even if only for a short time.
  12. I am so very sorry The shy ones really worm their way into your heart. Run free Luna
  13. I am so sorry Luna’s time is near, but glad you are able to have someone come to the house, I think it makes such a difference.
  14. I sent this to a friend who has a St Bernard puppy. She says she needs to get Lucy on the ball!
  15. I happen to know they have two slumber balls, but I guess the one that is occupied is the best
  16. How much fun to have family members! Congratulations
