But he would look at his life with people who loved him and say he was a happy, lucky dog. This sweet, loving boy loved shoes but he never chewed them. To him shoes were a "welcome home mom and dad!" gift any time we'd left and returned to the house - be it going to the store or walking to the mailbox.
