Guest jessicaksu125 Posted May 9, 2016 Share Posted May 9, 2016 (edited) I post little, lurk often on the forum. Yesterday my Lizzie Dog was admitted to the animal hospital with real pain. Her front right leg has been bugging her for some time now, but today the pain has spread to her back and hips. I saw her last night and she was zonked out on the good painkillers. Now I'm waiting for the vet to call. I'm lost right now on all the worries that owners have when their long-time best friend gets ill. I'm trying hard to stay focused at work while waiting for the vet to call, and not break into tears. Yesterday was so weird without her, I went to eat lunch on the couch and I realized how lonely meals can be without an obnoxious dog pushing her limits. I'm not here to ask any of these questions... I just need positive thoughts and vibes for my Lizzie -- and, quite frankly, for me, because I'm a wreck right now and need to know that I'm not alone. I'll try to post pics of her later. My sig is way out of date, I lost Gigi in 2011 and Pulitzer's name was shortened to Lizzie years ago. Guest jessicaksu125 Posted May 10, 2016 Share Posted May 10, 2016 I'm at my breakdown moment, I visited Lizzie tonight, and she wasn't in good shape. I know the lethargy was because of the meds, but she was so stiff and rigid and the liveliness was completely gone from her eyes. I know I need to be positive, but all I can think of is trying to live without her. The vets did a bunch of tests today, hopefully I'll get some kind of verdict tomorrow.
