These are trying times for us but Jack is okay though still breathing heavily and what it appears to have happened is his heartbeat got into a funny rhythm. The Cardiologist has prescribed some additional meds that somehow address this over a week's period (a pill every 8 hours) and then I believe a pill a day. Hopefully this can get it under control as it's scary to watch them breath and their whole body shake and his heart seems to be like a series of drums rather than a normal heart. So I guess this is good news that it's treatable. It was not helped by his slightly leaky mitral valve, which was finally replaced last year. He does still have some minor A-Fib, but it is well controlled with meds.
