  1. Happy birthday, Diva! It's great that you got to your new foster home just in time for your big day.
  2. Congratulations to all of you! They are both very cute.
  3. Great introduction! Welcome! It sounds like you've had some great canine companions. Murphy sounds like a really special guy.
  4. I hope you're able to figure this out. And that it's nothing serious. Sniffy's comment reminded me that once Lila started suddenly drinking like crazy and having to pee all the time. I thought something was horribly wrong with her. Then I remembered I got some new treats. I checked the ingredients and there were 3 different salt-type ingredients. I threw them away and she was cured. Have you changed anything you're feeding him?
  5. Sending all kinds of good thoughts for Punkin. I know she'll be just fine!
  6. I know this struggle. You feel like you are spending ALL of your time feeding the dog or making preparations for feeding the dog. You're doing a great job for Jeter. And you still have a sense of humor!
  7. I can always find a coupon for EntirelyPets Pharmacy, which usually makes them the cheaper than Chewy. They are slower than Chewy but faster than I'd imagine it would be from overseas. I'm not comfortable ordering drugs from overseas.
  8. You know Daisy better than anyone. Do what you feel is best for her. You're taking very good care of her and it sounds like she's doing fine for her age.
  9. Now you have to get one of those little heater things for birdbaths so Grace can have her outside water as she deserves.
  10. What a lovely day! But can't believe someone wouldn't give up their seat on the train for a poor tired houndie.
  11. I'm sorry you still don't have clear answers, that's got to be horrible. But it's great that he's hungry! Give him whatever he wants, and a smooch from me.
  12. Way to go Sweep! You are a beautiful girl and remind me of my dear Lila, who was often made to dress up like a babushka.
  13. Oh, you have to leash walk. That makes it a lot harder than just shoving them out in the yard and shutting the door.
  14. I've not had that problem, Lila would just run out to do the necessary and Wiki is unbothered by any kind of weather. But a lady I knew had a foster who would only poop in his own backyard. They had a cottage up north they went to regularly and he wouldn't poop on a leash. They fenced in a turn out yard for him and he still wouldn't go. She drove him back home after three days so he could go.
  15. Happy 12th birthday to the fabulous Sweep! I am so glad she's doing well and being well spoiled. I think the pedicure picture looks like the service is just not up to her standards.
  16. Yes, I get them from Marshalls or TJ Maxx. I was hoping you found a more reliable source.
  17. Congratulations! He is very handsome and it sounds like he's settling in very well. That dog bed in the second picture, those are the best beds! Where did you get it?
  18. Wiki ate a raw carrot for the first time tonight. Sliced thin on the bias made it more palatable. Try a raw cranberry. My last greyhound would eat them, but I found that very odd.
  19. I'm no help, I've got a jumper now too. Wiki gets crazy before the leash gets on though. I've done all the normal things, nothing works. I think we are doomed, it is a Wisconsin tradition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac2s7EoMwAc
  20. Greyhounds are generally sleepy dogs. The first night with my first houdie was a bit unsettled because she did not want to sleep in my bedroom where I wanted her to sleep. Once I gave up and let her stay in the living room where she wanted to be, she was fine and there were no issues with it. Wiki is more of a velcro hound and the first night I just went to my bedroom and she followed me and went right to the dog bed I had in there and stayed there all night. Most of the time if they can be near you, they are fine.
