A newbie here on the forum and the proud new owner of Snowy "the most beautiful girl in the world"... we just adopted her at the age of 8. My heart goes out to you and your beautiful boy.

Yes, we definitely need more pics of that beautiful boy. And sending continued best wishes.

I am so glad to hear that he is recovering well from the infection.

Twiggy had a scary infection in her incision and had to be hospitalized for it as well.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you, but it is thought that infection during recovery generally results in more favorable long-term outcomes in osteo patients. They don't know exactly, but think the infection sort of "wakes up" the hound's immune system and helps suppress any stray osteo cells. This was the first thing Twiggy's oncologist told me when I told him about her infection.

We haven't seen any pictures of that gorgeous boy in a while (hint, hint)!

Oh I hadn't heard that before! Thank you. :) I hope that means that Tristan will have a more favorable long-term outcome too. :hope

I feel so bad about not updating more often lately! You all are so sweet to check in on him. The jobs I've taken on to help pay for his care have been a little more overwhelming than I anticipated, so haven't had much free time at all. Most big deadlines are this week so hopefully after that things will settle down. I did take some time out to compile this video (with DH's help!). It should show you how great he's doing. Be sure to watch until the shots where he's learned to dig again! :ghplaybow:eek:pinkele
