  1. I'll just add my vote for keep her moving, and let her run if she wants to. The cold laser is a good idea, and you might try acupuncture if there is a vet that does it near you.
  2. Many years ago my group got a litter of three hermaphrodite pups. They all had all their "parts" removed for health reasons. Two were fine, the third had some incontinence issues that were related to the surgery. I believe (I didn't hear all the details at the time and it's been over 10 years) that her insides were messed up beyond just the extra parts. However, except for the incontinence, which her adopters managed, she didn't have any other problems.
  3. hoping for many, many good months ahead!
  4. I've been giving Natural Balance and Zukes, I prefer things that are American or Canadian sourced, just don't trust the Chinese stuff. That said, they do get Milkbones occasionally Well, Conner does, Val doesn't like them. Also, none of my dogs have ever eaten carrots, although I know a lot of dogs do. I use cat kibble or treat for training. An all cat food diet might be too rich for dogs, but won't hurt them. An all dog food diet will, eventually, be bad for cats.
  5. Maybe he had a muscle cramp, or brain fart, or something like that, and instead of the GSOD he growled? Whatever it was, it was obviously a passing thing
  6. First shot, results were almost immediate. Lasted about 4-6 weeks (it's been awhile, memory is sketchy)
  7. The first couple of injections worked very well for Sugar (spinal stenosis, 12 yrs old), but after that the effectiveness fell off quite a bit. By then, the acupuncture was really working, so we stopped the shots.
  8. I've used the Joint Health and Fresh Factors for years. None of them have liked the Advanced Joint Health, but other than that, no problems.
  9. It does sound like something upstairs is waking them up. I'd guess either some noise you don't hear or being cold. One of my dogs would get very restless and pace when he got cold. Unfortunately, he wouldn't wear pj's and didn't like being covered Can you move a more comfortable bed downstairs for you so you can at least get some decent sleep until you get this figured out?
  10. she is beautiful, love the "old ladies"
  11. At least you have a direction now, and some answers. Continued for Percy, hope this can be managed!
  12. Just wanted to add, Rimadyl and other NSAIDs didn't help Conner's limp much (some, but not a lot) and he can't take Tramadol, but Gabapentin has been a big help and his chiro Dr said it was actually a better choice since it targeted nerve pain, which is part of his problem. He is also on the Chinese herb mix Body Sore, which takes a while to kick in, but has started to help. These mystery limps are so frustrating!
  13. I am so sorry. Darcy was always one of my favorites, but Duffy and Grace were special too. I hope Grace is still doing well.
  14. I switched tour Nexgard, it has worked well so far. A couple of the people in my group who do multiple fosters swear by preventic collars, I am sorry they are giving you problems.
  15. I remember Phaelin and his whippets, I am so sorry
  16. Welcome! It seems that a lot more people in the UK let their greys run off lead than here in the US, but obviously, recall can be taught! Good luck
