  1. Ohh, Saint, you little devil! I hope he doesn't get tummy trouble from it.
  2. Thanks! He loves to give people kisses, it's other dogs he can't stand 99% of the time. Of course, I know he's telling the other dog to back off, but to other owners it looks like he is an aggressive butthead. His no-go is messing with his feet while he's laying down. If he sits on the couch, he will tuck his head under my chin.
  3. Dick, a question: Does on track personality correlate with off-track personality? I know with Johnny, he is a big get-outta-my-face snarker, which to me is him saying "I'm Numero Uno, back off!" and he has to be in front of group walks! But he lives successfully with 4 cats and doesn't even try to chase them. Thanks!
  4. I thought he had some Gable Dodge in him, he has the face! Johnny is also tall and a lover. Gotta get my pics back up so you can see.
  5. Yep, my Lab was afraid of bicycles, walkers, wheelchairs, and old people that shuffled. But she would go straight up to the noisiest tractor-trailer for a good sniff. Go figure...
  6. If they fly into your hair, they are "palmetto bugs" . I find they like to come inside when it's either really dry or really damp outside. My cats torture them to death, then leave me to clean up.
  7. Yeah, I was thinking cat hissing too! Diatomaceous earth is a safer option. Are they true roaches or my namesake?
  8. That happened years ago at K9 school, instructor had some bright idea about us chasing after the dog and snatching up the leash or some horsepucky. Used a leather leash the rest of the time, long leads aren't very safe in an inspectional environment.
  9. Used one of those a couple of times with my K9--got a nice cut on my hand when she took off and I grabbed the lead. OUCH!
  10. If you want the best leash you'll ever buy, I highly recommend a leather one. Used one professionally and Johnny is the second dog with this one.
  11. No, she won't hate you, I promise! I had to take Johnny out a few times (no backyard!) when his most hated things were out there--fireworks and lawn equipment! Just keep it light and happy, and praise praise praise!
  12. Now we'll have to wait to see if she's a pumpkin-eater, too!
  13. What a beautiful girl, her name fits! I love it when they chatter.
  14. Brand name in US is Zantac, it's an antihistamine (Really!) used to treat acid reflux. https://www.drugs.com/ranitidine.html
  15. Good girl Peggy! I had my Lab on Zantac or Pepsid most of her life, as she had acid reflux. Cheap, easy to give, widely available, I'd say it was worth it.
  16. Can she have a little yogurt or cheese? Or some plain rice? Glad to know she's eating something
  17. They are supposed to be on sale at Care-a-lot Pets though next Saturday.
  18. None here, this is the second year of wearing one during spring-summer-fall.
  19. Aww, Peggy. Hope it is just the "stomach bug" and not something more serious.
  20. How's the beautiful Peggy this morning/afternoon?
  21. Good healing vibes coming your way, Conner!
  22. Great news, those old broodies are tough.
