  1. I've boarded Johnny three times, he did excellent. I made sure to emphasize to the kennel that he needs his own space and solitary play. Fortunately the staff was familiar with greyhounds, too.
  2. My Johnny likes a good nature walk, too. We'll be going to the Smokies for a weekend, so I hope he'll do well on a mountain trail. I have four indoor cats, and my mom has a bunch. He's done really well with them, he was listed as "cats maybe", and it only took a couple of corrections from me and nose swats from the cats to get him in line . He will tell the cats off if they try to invade his personal space, but will let them eat from his bowl. However, he will go for outdoors cats, he still hasn't learned they aren't prey.
  3. My Johnny has lunged-snapped at me in the past--he does not like to be messed with laying down, learned that the hard way! One time I was trying to measure him for a collar, he air snapped and growled, I immediately separated myself from him. He's very sensitive in his neck and throat, so I think that set him off that time. So could it be that your doesn't like to be bothered when laying or sitting, or that he is sensitive somewhere?
  4. If you use Android, I don't think they'll play for you. I have to use my desktop for Track Data replays.
  5. Hey there from your cousin Johnny! We look very much alike!
  6. Great progress! Slow and steady, very gently...
  7. I used the Seresto last summer, only found one tick on him at my parents' place in VA.
  8. Hey, what's a little pee between friends? Good to know
  9. Johnny growls at my cats, too, if he's in his bed and they try to get on, or they sniff his feet. Cats get scatted by me. Everyone gets along pretty well elsewhere!
  10. Hi! You have some great Grey owners in your neck of the woods! It may take a bit of time, some dogs are very sensitive to change. You can try an Adaptil Collar or diffuser, or L-theanine supplements to help with the anxiety. Also, let your neighbors know that yes, you are addressing the problem, it's just going to take a little time.
  11. Johnny loves to meet visitors, too! He's not that extreme, but he does jump on people, and we're still working on that! A 80 lbs launch into your gut is not fun. And he'll do it on your back, too, OUCH! He will lay partly in my lap, too. He loves to put his head under my arm and just stay there. What a weirdo!
  12. OMG, my heart just sank. Run free sweet Taylor, you have inspired us all!
  13. Are the stairs carpeted? If not, they make little rectangles to put down on the treaders. Johnny slipped on laminate while I was at work one day--he wouldn't come down the hall with me until I put runners all the way from the living room to the bedroom.
  14. Johnny greets me by the door, but he hears when I roll up and watches me from the sliding door until I get up the stairs. He has beds in both the bedroom and living room, but I'm pretty sure he just parks it in the living room all day. Now if I can only get him to quit jumping on me...
  15. Has he been licking more than usual? Maybe something small that got irritated?
  16. I think Galgos are more high energy, and they can JUMP. One tiny girl jumped straight up onto a vendor's table last year at Beach Bound Hounds, and didn't knock a single shirt down.
  17. Is there any reason why she has to stay in the bedroom? My Johnny likes to start off in the living room, then come down the hall. He hates being behind a closed door.
