  1. Ducky, Could you add Jewel. She's a friend's German Shepard. Thanks.
  2. I'm sorry Widow had to leave you. Run free Widow.
  3. Magic has a scar on his hip that may be the size of a small greyhound needle nose. I'm convinced it was a nip from one of his siblings possibly from when he was a puppy in Iowa. I could be wrong though.
  4. Robin, Gerrit, Moxie, JJ, and Dustin, I'm sorry EZ had to leave you. Run Free EZ.
  5. That's basically what the vet said. You can't force them to chew it.
  6. I decided to get an answer from my vet. Apparently, it doesn't matter if they swallow Heartgard whole. I was curious because, like others, he swallows it whole.
  7. Could you add Sam please? I don't think Amy is on GT.
  8. Shirley, I'm sorry Miles had to leave you, Rowdy, and Tatum. Run free Miles
  9. I've decided to not bother with a belly band. My housemate will make sure Magic goes out before he leaves. I think he'll be fine. He's been alone for this long maybe 4 or 5 times in the 8 years Magic has been with me and there hasn't been a problem other than Magic's thinking he's going to starve even though he gets 2 breakfasts on Thanksgiving. I know a couple of people have mentioned taking Magic with me. I'm in the parade (balloon captain). Sorry, I neglected that little tidbit. Thank you for the suggestions and advice. I appreciate it.

Petra and Jack, I'm sorry Tex had to leave you. Run free Tex.
  11. I have a question for those who have hounds who need belly bands. What size should I get for Magic who will be alone on Thanksgiving for 10-12 hours and no one will be home to let him out? He's never needed one in the past for the same time period but he's almost 13 and I don't want to take a chance. Also, when I get one, should I have him wear it before hand so he gets used to it? This is a very rare occurrence when he's alone for that long and I can't take him with me for 2 reasons: 1. I'm going to a friend's house right after the parade. 2. She has one greyhound which is fine but she's not sure how her other dog (non-hound) would like Magic. Thanks.
  12. Magic was more interested in the ferrets than guinea pigs. He even got a chance to sniff one being held by a member of a ferret rescue group. He's got minimal prey drive and doesn't play with stuffies much so I was OK with it. We have a pet store in the area with 5 branches and the one we go to treats Magic like a king. He'll go to each register for a treat.
  13. You mentioned that your vet gave you I/D food. Did your vet suggest a bland diet? I used skinless chicken and rice on Magic when he was sick a few years ago.
  14. I'm glad Sidney is OK. I gather he is to be leash walked? I know when Magic has had injuries and needed to be leash walked he hated it.
  15. Lori, Michael, and crew, I'm so sorry Monty had to leave. He'll be missed. Run free Monty. I hope you and Bill are having fun at the Bridge.
  16. Magic has been doing this lately too. I figured he had an itch on his nose or face and it was easier to rub his face on someone or something.
  17. Deb, John, and Croo, I'm sorry Hannah had to leave you. She was beautiful. Run Free Hannah. Carol and Magic
  18. Ducky, That was a greyt story how you and Possum came to each other. Those 66 days were probably some of the best days of Possum's life.
  19. Steve, I am so sorry to see this. to you, Gayle, and Sadie.
  20. Happy Birthday at the Bridge, Bee Wiseman. to Tricia and Burke Carol and Magic
  21. Judy, I am so sorry to read this. Run Free Bebe.
  22. Magic has rear leg shaking issues too. He has some weakness also. It only seems to happen when he's standing still. He runs and walks normally. Personally, I think it bothers me more than it does him.
  23. I'm so sorry to read this. She looked so happy in her cart. Run free sweet girl
